The Four Cornerstones of Turia
Many of you are new to Online or Gor or both, many not. But, few know some of the founding principles behind Turia, it's cornerstones so to speak, why it's laws are the way they are, and why it has a council that can pass and "strike" laws but also why certain laws are "carved in stone".
The First Cornerstone
A Master has ABSOLUTE power over his OWN property. ABSOLUTE responsibility for its actions. The "popular" belief of when a Master is wrong is that he is never wrong. He is always right, and the final words are always "yes, Master". According to the books, this is correct. But that is not held in Turia. Many of you may be shocked by my saying it, but I have a good reason to do so. If this were really the planet Gor, ANY and ALL slaves would be taught those final words. But also on that planet, slaves usually stayed WITH their Masters and were locked up in cages or chained when the Master wasn't around. So, in reality, they were hardly ever away from their Master. When Master X told a slave to do something her own Master fobid her, her Master was usually around to laugh at him and tell him to fuck off. As we all know, here in the "on line world of Gor" most "Masters" are either kids with no power in RL who come here to "get off" on this imagined power rush that Gor provides, or just plain "whack jobs". They get off on having a slave obey them and care NOTHING about whether or not she has to violate her Master's rules. That "Master" then is never seen again and the girl has to face her punishment with her own Master that she sees every day. No man may question a slaves "rules" given to her by her Master. If those rules violate OUR laws here...she is simply told that her rules violate ours and is told to leave, or she is "forcibly removed". Now, many of you will say that this causes Turian slaves to "be confrontational" with non-Turian Masters. It does. And to be truthful, in book 4, it is seen that both the Turian slaves AND Tuchuk slaves were openly disrespectful and hostile to Masters not of their city or tribe. That is in the books. Kajirae are not allowed to be disrespectful and must be polite BUT they must obey their OWNER first, Turians second. And only obey non-Turians if that obedience doesn't conflict with your owner's orders or Turia's laws. If the man presses you on it, be polite but press back. If that man wants that kind of control of one of the best kajira on Gor, he can do the work, pay the price, and become Turian to get it. If not, he is an "outworlder", a stranger. And stranger in Gorean means ENEMY. Kajirae must be taught to ignore the "flaw" of Gor online, show loyalty to the man they spend their lives with, to their homes. Let fly by nights go to another channel to be "pseudo men". Many Masters, when "corrected" on Turian law by a slave feel disrespected. That I know. Girls are to "stand firm" on these, and the laws of their Masters. The only time a girl may be disrespectful to a Free person is if that Free person says she is not a slave. By him saying that, (showing he can't control one) he proves he is no Master, and if he is not a Master it's open season on his ass. If a non-Turian corrects a Turian slave by telling her she should be doing something that she is not allowed to do under Turian law, yet does not order her to do anything, even though he is wrong under this law, I would prefer the girls to just say, "yes, Master" and bring it up later and only inform this Master of the law if he presses it. In any case, you bring it to an @ soon as possible. But no matter what, you don’t violate a law or rule. What is a kajira to a Turian? A girl? My property perhaps? Correct, but not totally true. A "Consentual slave" because she CHOSE to be. That is something most of the people FORGET! If we dont train them, love them, guide them, and DOMINATE THEM, we lose them. They NEED us, but we are also responsible FOR them. They give us their lives, their submission, their very being. That is why we have laws here so they know where they stand and what WE stand for. That is why we have a brotherhood...to work together to build something unseen here. This "The owner has absolute rights, power, control, and responsibility for his property" is founding principle ONE in Turia. It is our First Cornerstone, and it IS carved in stone.
The Second Cornerstone
Here in Turia, respect for ALL is held up high, and as previously stated, may only be disregarded if the First Cornerstone rule is being violated. And ONLY if it is so clear that it is being violated that a blind man could see it. Respect all means just that, especially where fellow Turians are concerned. The fastest way to get a "ticket out of here" is to show disrespect to a Turian. This principle is EXPECTED and DEMANDED of visitors. This is OUR house. OUR home. They, who come to OUR home, are expected to treat it with respect. It, and all property in it. From the girls down to the bosk dung boots. A Master has no need to be disrespectful to prove his Mastery, and a slave risks her head in being disrespectful.
The Third Cornerstone
No RL (Real Life) discussion. This rule is also carved in stone. Many people on line think this is the Dating Game, ask personal questions, and use their "status" as a Free person to get the answers they want. Many slaves use the knowlege of a man's RL against him (Or vice-versa) to get whatever it is they are after, and with all this going on, the point that this is supposed to be Gor is lost I have long held that I would rather be in a channel of people who spoke as Goreans, acted as Goreans, WERE Goreans in channel but were not RL, than with people who were RL BDSM and didnt know SQUAT about Gor or the books, and didn't care. If a girl has gone through the training we provide, and a Master wishes to know her better and maybe meet her, that is fine. But keep it OFF channel. And, the girl is in no way REQUIRED to divulge information about her real life. The forum here is on line chat, this is a on line world. No one can FORCE RL info out of you, period.
The Fourth Cornerstone
Be Gorean. I will be the first to admit that I don't know every item in every one of books, backwards and forwards like some do, however when something is pointed out to be a part of the books, I seek to implement it here if it is plausible to do so because of the following belief: Gor is an imaginary planet described in a book series by John Norman. It never changes. To be "Gorean", one must be as a character in one of those books. If you are not, you aren't Gorean, for it is Norman who created the world, dictated its boundaries, and rules. It isn't Star Trek. It's not Midrealm, BDSM, or D&D either. It is Gor as described in the Gor books. Now, no one insists you know all there is to know. That is impossible. What we DO insist is that you TRY to know all there is to know. Keep reading, studying, watching, learning, and practicing. If possible, attend classes!!!!!
As you do so, you learn, I learn, we all learn. And as such, we all get better at it. The Four Turian Cornerstones have been laid....and the walls can be filled in. These things include hard work for Turians, proper conduct both inside and out of our channels, a "sort of" uniformity of actions and purpose showing teamwork and common purpose, etc. * Nowhere was there a council until Turia started one
* Nowhere are there written laws until Turia
* Nowhere are their ways to amend those laws as new knowlege is gained
* Nowhere is there a court
* Nowhere is there any form of unity of purpose Nowhere but here. Help others to become more Gorean. Help other channels standardization of rules, etc. Here is a place where a man can come and know he will be heard. Here is a place where a girl can come and know she will be trained to the best of our and her ability. Here is a place where Gor can grow and flourish. I look to you, ALL of you, to do the work required of you to make this place work. Go to classes, ask questions, etc. Stand for something. Stand for something great and proper. Be BETTER than what is out there, know what I mean? The “slave bells" here were designed to show the different levels that a girl is at, so too the ranks of the Free people. Imagine Turians going to a city not in Turia, and when they leave, the slaves all have such a proper exit. What does that show to people? Robots? Clones? Or does it show commonality of purpose, training, hard work?
